The QinetiQ AeroStructures Group is an engineering consultancy firm specialising in aircraft structural integrity. AeroStructures, Inc. was founded in the United States in 1982.
The company analyses and assesses aircraft and helicopter structures with emphasis on fleet support, usage monitoring and prolonging service life.
In 1995 AeroStructures, Inc. opened an office in Melbourne, and commenced trading as AeroStructures Australia to provide support to defence and commercial aviation organisations in the Australasian and Asian regions. A related Australian company, AeroStructures Technologies Pty Ltd was formed in 1997.
Another business, Advanced Technology Training was created in 2000 to provide specialist training seminars. AeroStructures NDT was established in 2004 to provide higher-level Non-Destructive (NDT) design and applications. The Australian operation has a large number of professional staff at several locations across the country.
